Here are two sets by Lexis, founder of Music Is My Sanctuary that both fit excellently to the sparkling spring-sunshine.
Enjoy the season of life and I hope to see you at a gig soon. Take care!
It’s been a year and a half since his last visit but now he’s back for another legendary night of nasty Rockabilly/Reggae/Folk/Garage/Rhumba/GodKnowsWhat where everything can (and surely will) happen.
For this show only and as an exception on his European Tour, Vic Ruggiero will be performing his eclectic style on the Electric Sitar.
Well known for his work as a frontman of NYC Ska and Reggae band The Slackers, Ruggiero’s voice has a distinct Bronx accent that has a hard, guttural quality. His lyrics usually follow several themes, including the apocalypse, dark humor, political distrust, paranoia, murder, love and loss. His songs have ranged from narrative ballads to nonsense songs inspired by Beat generation poets and songwriters, such as Jack Kerouac and John Lennon respectively. His shows are known for being a full-range entertainment experience with amazing stories and sharp humor being a constant presence.
Following the live show is an afterparty and DJ Fass is gonna play records on the boat named Café Barco!
(Barco = Portuguese for boat)
will share the stage @ De Doos.
This one is gonna get bouncy!
23:00 till late.
No entrance fee.

Last week I bumped upon an ISAM 2.0 poster by New Analog when Amon Tobin mentioned on his facebook that there were gonna be a few available at his show in Paris. That poster led to a bunch of other great posters made by Toby Whitebread from Manchester. Click on the pictures above to see them big. And there are more on the New Analog website if you’re interested.
The ISAM 2.0 was for sale for just £15 (sold out now) in the New Analog webshop and the prices of the posters range from £5 to £30.
Definitely worth to check out and maybe an idea to buy a friend or yourself a nice gift. All are limited editions.
